MALTA, JUNE 19, 2009 - A Libyan patrol boat this morning took on board 76 illegal immigrants who had been met 29 miles south of Lampedusa by Italy's Guardia Costiera yesterday evening, international news agencies reported. The patrol boat headed to Tripoli. They said that a Maltese private aircraft reported the migrants to a German Border Police helicopter operating out of Luqa as part of Frontex operations.
